Moving house is one of the most stressful life events at the best of times, let alone during the middle of a global pandemic. We have had a lot of our customers contacting us recently worried that they won’t be able to move as planned. The good news is that yes, you can move home during coronavirus as it is considered a legitimate reason to be out and about. Here’s what we know.

Moving House During Coronavirus

If you are moving house within NSW, removalists are still open as are self-storage facilities, trailer hire services and car hire services.

If you are moving between ACT, NSW and Vic the borders are still open and there are no requirements to go into compulsory isolation. The NT, QLD, SA, Tas and WA have different rules so you will need to check the health advice and government self-isolation guidelines that apply to the state you are moving to.

Of course, even when moving, it is still essential to maintain good personal hygiene, adhere to social distancing and avoid large groups even when moving.

And remember, COVID-19 be transferred to a person from a contaminated surface. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth and wipe down all surfaces after your move is complete.
